Milwaukee Brewer pitcher Wade Miley has some soreness in his throwing shoulder, and may not be ready to pitch by opening day. Brewer manager Pat Murphy says the injury does not appear to be serious, but the Brewers are being cautious since Miley has a history of shoulder problems. Miley was 9-4, with a 3.14 ERA in 23 starts for Milwaukee last season. He has a career record of 108-98 in 13 major league seasons. Miley, however, because of injuries, has not thrown more than 170 innings in any season since 2015. Although Miley's injury may not be serious, the Brewers starting rotation is already depleted because of Corbin Burnes' trade to Baltimore, and Brandon Woodruff out much of the season because of shoulder surgery.
