Varsho resigns with Toronto

Marshfield’s Daulton Varsho is avoiding salary arbitration, and signing
a one-year contract with the Toronto Blue Jays. The deal is worth
$5,650,000. Daulton spent his first season with Toronto in 2023, and
was a nominee for a Gold Glove Award for his outstanding outfield
defense. He struggled at the plate, batting just .220, but he did hit
20 home runs with 61 rbis. This was the first time Daulton was
eligible for salary arbitration, and he is eligible for free agency
following the 2027 season.
