Cundiff leaves Wisconsin due to injuries

Tight end Clay Cundiff will not return to the Wisconsin Badger football program. Cundiff has been with the Badgers since 2019, but has been beset by injuries his entire college career. He played one game in 2019, did not play the following year, and then appeared in five games in 2021 and four more last season. His 2022 season was cut short, however, by a leg injury suffered against Ohio State. Cundiff played in ten games in his Wisconsin career, catching 12 passes for 228 yards and three touchdowns. Cundiff’s departure leaves redshirt senior Hayden Rucci and redshirt sophomore Jack Pugh as Wisconsin’s top two tight ends entering this season.
