Viterbo men’s basketball coach Wayne Wagner of Marshfield is receiving a commitment to his program for next fall. 6’1 guard Carson Koepnick of West Salem says he’ll play for the V-Hawks next season. Koepnick is averaging 16 points per game for West Salem this season, and shoots 33% from three-point range. He has scored 20 points or more in five games, including 30 points against Onalaska-Luther in December. Koepnick has scored 962 points in four seasons of varsity basketball at West Salem. Two area players, Alex King of Neillsville and Luke Spink of Mosinee, are now playing in the men’s basketball program at Viterbo.
