The Milwaukee Brewers are signing free agent outfielder/third baseman Brian Anderson to a one-year contract worth $3,500,000, with another $2,000,000 in incentives. Anderson has played for Miami for the last six seasons, and played well between 2018 and 2020. He has been bothered by shoulder and back injuries over the last two seasons, and played just 67 games in 2021 and 98 contests last year. Anderson is a career .256 hitter with 57 home runs. He hit .222 in 2022, with 8 home runs and 28 rbis. Anderson will give the Brewers depth behind Luis Urias at third base, and could compete with Tyrone Taylor for playing time in right field.
